Job Description:
This position will assist office staff with general clerical duties.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: creating student advising folders, with audits, filing, computer work, delivering/picking up and distributing the mail, photocopying, making campus runs, greeting students, and answering the telephone.
Must be able to maintain a meticulous manual filing system.
Applicant must be familiar with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Must also feel comfortable learning new software programs with ease.
Detail-oriented and dependable work attendance is a must.
Have strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize work, and take initiative as appropriate.
Be willing to be busy when at work.
Must be able to work well under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and is a self-starter.
Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills are a must.
- Provide general office assistance and support
- Greet clients and visitors with excellent customer service; answer inquiries and provide information
- Maintain files and reports and ensure confidentiality of information
- Assist with various projects, activities or tasks as needed
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
