Assistant Vice President, Culture and Talent
Nemours Children’s Health is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Culture and Talent. The role can be based at our Nemours location in Wilmington DE, Jacksonville, or Orlando Florida. This will be a hybrid role, with travel to our locations based on need.
The AVP, Culture and Talent provides strategic oversight of organizational development related to engagement, belonging, professional development, team effectiveness, leadership effectiveness, and strategic change management to help create talent that cultivates and embodies the cultural attributes of Nemours Children’s Health and facilitate the achievement of the organization’s highest goals and aspirations.
The position will lead the overall strategy, planning, design, and administration of all non-clinical learning, talent development, organizational development, and associate engagement programs. The position will manage the foregoing programs in a manner that promotes a learning culture, maximizes associate effectiveness, drives desired business outcomes, and creates a thriving and inclusive environment for all associates. The position will champion engagement efforts and lead the implementation of Nemours associate engagement strategy.
The AVP, Culture and Talent leads the Culture and Talent team that supports all parts of the organization. It is a highly visible enterprise-wide leadership position responsible for developing the strategy and driving the execution of learning and development programs and oversight of cultural-embedding infrastructures. In partnership with senior leadership and the HR leadership team, the position will design, implement, and administer an effective succession planning program for the enterprise.
The AVP, Culture and Talent is an integral member of the HR senior leadership and participates in the design and execution of the HR strategy for Nemours. This role will also serve as the primary change management consultant related to the enterprise’s overarching strategy and strategic execution.
Other responsibilities include training delivery, managing learning technologies with support from the IS team, conducting needs analysis, evaluating learning impact, managing learning programs, coaching, knowledge management, change management, performance improvement, culture audit, culture improvement, culture fortification, team, and individual assessments, advancing a learning organization, and optimizing agile learning through micro-targeted interventions.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Leadership Development, Organizational Development, Learning, Training, Adult Education, or related field, a Doctorate degree is preferred.
- 10 years of direct, hands-on experience in developing and delivering learning and OD programs (e.g. Competencies, Strategic Workforce Planning, Succession Planning, Assessments and Surveys, Engagement, 360’s).
- A minimum of 5 years people management experience.
- Certified Diversity Practitioner, ICF Certified Coach (or equivalent) in physician and executive, preferred
