Social & Digital Manager
About the Role
The Social & Digital Manager will build and manage a communications plan across a variety of Digital and Social channels to progress DP World’s brand awareness and engagement. The core strategy is to unify Europe around our vision and goals across all verticals.
The successful candidate will deliver and maintain the European Social and Digital strategy based on supporting business and commercial objectives whilst maintaining alignment with the global communications strategy and work in collaboration with the global centres of excellence.
This role will enhance business value by positioning DP World favourably with colleagues, stakeholders, customers and investors alike. The incumbent will be expected to measurably enhance trust, reputation, brand and our license to operate across Europe.
This role will require an action and outcome orientated individual who will work in a proactive manner to satisfy the business requirements and work to deliver against deadlines.
How you will contribute
- Deep understanding of mainstream social media channels (with extensive knowledge of the LinkedIn platform specifically) and how they function in format (mobile and desktop); knowledge of global usage of these channels is a plus.
- Define social media KPIs and measure the success of every social media campaign.
- Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g., original text, photos, videos, news).
- Use SEO strategies to increase website traffic.
- Management and input on the selection of appropriate vendors, activities, platforms, and tools
- Develop and manage our social media strategy across various platforms (including, but not limited to LinkedIn, X, Meta, etc.)
- Work closely with Snr. Mgrs. East and West to execute ‘One plan’ and manage any associated COE risks
- Engage with all internal and external stakeholders to advocate for DP World’s positions
- Provide balanced perspectives that integrate business, functional, geographical and temporal insights when decisions are considered
- Focus on ‘fewer, bigger, better’ outcomes that optimise HO & RO investment
- To develop and manage a Digital/Social and Partnerships plan including: Key audiences to be reached – Who, When, What, Where and How? The executional purposing of the overarching EUR comms strategy. Creation and execution of all playbooks/toolkits as required. Zero-based budgeting approach to working investment
- To drive effective and cost-efficient execution of the plan through blending of global/regional content/campaigns with coordination of regional/local activities
- To establish and report on a monthly rolling basis, tracking progress against overall objectives for stakeholder awareness and engagement.
What you will bring
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Digital Marketing Manager or similar role within a B2B context.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Communications-related field or other experience managing social media programs
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO, social media campaigns.
- Excellent knowledge of Meta, X, LinkedIn, Instagram and other social media best practices.
- Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
- Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
- A flexible individual who is willing to roll up their sleeves and get work done.
- Resilient and skilled in matrix project management, able to self-start. Stakeholder management skills a must as is the ability to utilise cross-functional teams, often remotely and on different time zones
- Qualities include strong inter-personal skills, proven delivery with right message, right time, right channel. Sensitive to cross-cultural differences and the importance of wedding their actions to our values
- The successful candidate will be a self-starter, who proactively identifies issues and opportunities with minimal supervision. Takes a hands-on approach as well as a step back to think bigger picture, longer-term
- Right 1st time oral and written skills. Capable of influencing at all levels. Able to work under pressure and course correct in real time as required
