A Day in the Life:

The Benefits Representative provides support to the Benefits Team in the strategy, administration and management of employee benefit programs, promoting the value of the plans in alignment with the company’s goals and competitive practices.

The salary range for this position begins at $55,000.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Support annual Open Enrollment activity including communication, enrollment activities, webinars, employee assistance, vendor engagement, data interface auditing, and policy implementation.
  • Provide employees support by resolving or escalating all benefits related inquiries.
  • Act as liaison between Benefits and HR Shared Services and Payroll teams
  • Support communications and interpretation of benefit policies, programs or compliance.
  • Ensure vendor file feeds are working properly including union eligibility. Determine root cause if issues arise and issue resolution through to completion.
  • Process vendor invoices and employee benefit refunds.
  • Maintain financial budget tracker by tracking credits and rebates.
  • Lead the data collection for discrimination testing, annual audits, 5500’s, etc.
  • Support administration of Pension, 401(k) and State Retirement Programs.
  • Suggest and implement steps/processes, including technological improvements, to make the administration of benefits more efficient.
  • Lead and provide support to projects and perform other duties, as assigned.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years’ experience in benefits-related role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related degree, preferred. 
  • Expert proficiency in technical, data management, and software skills, including MS Office.
  • Moderate proficiency in HRIS/HCM, benefits enrollment, and payroll systems; Oracle Cloud knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions and locations.
  • Flexible and adaptable; ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Results driven, ability to make decisions and help solve problems.
  • Ability to drive process and organizational change.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision with a goal-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to see the big picture and leverage critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organization, time management, delegation, and prioritization skills.
