Your role and responsibilities
As our Alternative Provision Lead, you`ll play a crucial role in supporting children and young people who require access to alternative education.
You will:
- monitor and track children accessing alternative provision across Suffolk
- liaise with schools and education settings to ensure children are safe and thriving
- communicate with families and partners to coordinate support
- analyse data to inform the development of our Alternative Provision strategy
- support the In Year Fair Access Panel (IYFAP) process.
You will work closely with the Alternative Provision Manager to deliver on our strategy, making a real difference in young people`s lives by supporting their engagement and inclusion in education.
You will need
- in-depth knowledge of Signs of Safety and solution-focused approaches
- experience working directly with children, young people, and families
- strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with various stakeholders
- the ability to analyse data and present information clearly
- a commitment to safeguarding and promoting children`s welfare.

You will be joining our dedicated Alternative Provision team within Children and Young People`s Services. We work collaboratively across internal services and external partners to create positive outcomes for children and families who need alternative education options. Our team is committed to supporting engagement, participation, and inclusion in education for all young people in Suffolk.

- Describe a situation where you used data analysis to identify trends or issues in service delivery. How did you present this information, and what improvements were implemented as a result?
