Primary Purpose - ONSITE

Work with business leaders across Mountaire to provide analytical and reporting support to all areas of our business, helping to improve competitive performance and increase profitability. Also lead the development and refinement of analyses/models that assess the financial, operational and market potential of proposed business plans and acquisition opportunities.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
2. Leverage analytical skills to collect, organize, analyze variances from budgets and Agri Stats and to look for improvement opportunities.
3. Build time-series forecasting models to predict optimal operating parameters and levels with the ability to test assumptions. Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in large data sets.
4. Provide ongoing reports/analyses on market performance, industry and macroeconomic trends, market pricing, poultry supply, etc.
5. Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed and prepare reports on findings for VPs, Directors, Controllers, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance or a related field.
• 2 years’ poultry experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Strong math and spreadsheet skills: Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Access, etc.
• Must have the ability to combine business experience and insights with analytical modelling skills to reach results that are both intuitive and technically sound.
• Needs strong business judgement, leadership and integrity; able to bring a healthy, balanced approach to business.
