Primary Purpose

Focuses on maintaining and repairing vehicles within a fleet. Their primary purpose is to ensure the operational readiness, safety and reliability of the fleet by conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing necessary repairs.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Performs basic inspections and preventative maintenance.  Moves equipment as needed.
2. Performs basic repairs and intermediate maintenance under supervision.
3. Shop clean-up and organization.
4. Utilizes the Fleet Maintenance software system program.

Qualifications

• Associate`s Degree in electrical, mechanical, automotive engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
• 1-2 years of hands-on automotive repair experience
• Diesel engine repair experience considered a plus
• Certifications in Brake Technician,  Refrigerant Recovery, Engine Diagnostics highly desirable
• Must have a current/clean driver`s license
• CDL license is a plus and subject to verification
