Welder
If you are a Welding professional, ready to grow your career, then we have an opportunity for you! Based in our Tulsa, OK location, we are hiring for an entry level Weld I position. In this role, you will use hand welding and flame cutting equipment to fabricate and weld sub-assemblies and assemblies. You will use GMAW and FCAW welding processes to produce quality products to meet our Emerson standards.
In this role, your responsibilities will be:
- Work with specifications, work orders, engineering drawings, and perform the accurate sequence of welding operations.
- Cut, trim, saw, metal components to dimensions as specified on engineering drawings using cutting torch, plasma cutter and horizontal saw.
- Fit-up parts to be welded in fixtures or by hand prior to welding.
- Maintain critical alignment and tolerances during the welding process.
- Develop and produce welding aids, tooling, and holding fixtures.
- Ensure welds meet engineering requirements and achieve accurate penetration, without porosity or defects, and that they have an acceptable appearance.
For this role, you will need:
- 0-1 Years of Experience and technical degree OR equivalent years of experience
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic and trigonometric calculations & read engineering drawings
- Ability to pass weld test on 2G GMAW root and FCAW fill and cap
- Qualified in ASME Section IX, ability to weld multiple parts per written welding procedures and responsible for all roll operations on rolling flat bar
