How you will contribute
- Maintenance of the site environmental, health and safety management systems and procedures, based upon legal, customer, standard and company requirements.
- Responsible for the conducting of EHS risk assessment- & legal compliance audit- activities including record keeping and follow up.
- Responsible for the analysis of EHS risk assessment, near miss and accident data; update and inform the senior management team.
- Conducting of EHS event investigation including record keeping of conclusions, close out of actions & follow up as per customer, standard and company requirements
- Chairing site environmental, health and safety (reps) meetings, presenting data, recording actions, and maintaining the progress on the actions.
- Assessment of training activities on site environmental, health and safety procedures.
- Working with the operational teams to improve the working environment, reducing the impacts to the employee from operational activities.
- Conducting internal EHS audits, workplace inspections and health & safety tours to the prescribed frequency.
- Development of documented health and safety procedures.
- Maintain emergency preparedness and response; coordinator of the site BHV organization.
- Managing and control of the EHS management system: Generate, interpret, analyze, and communicate results using management tools, graphs, and reports
- Monitor and drive the EHS performance at a site level and provide direction, advice and counsel to supervisors, managers, and employees regarding EHS and related best practices
- Implementation of policies and procedures for the EHS area; this includes reviewing and formulating/revising operations policies and procedures
- Work alongside the operations, engineering, inventory, and trade compliance teams to sign off on Standard Work Instructions (SWI’s) from a health and safety perspective
- Establish and maintain the EHS plan set out for current year and future years – ensuring full compliance to the EHS plan
- Maintain legal register and ensure compliance to register
- Manage and maintain RI&E and communicate to management.
Accountability
- Maintaining and improving the site environmental, health and safety management system.
- Maintaining and improving the site risk and legal compliance register.
- Investigating and follow up of EHS events in a timely manner as per GLO and DP world requirements
- Maintaining the internal site legal compliance EHS audit program.
- Monitor & report site EHS performance to relevant stakeholders.

What you will bring:
- Bachelor (HVK / ISM) or medium (MVK) degree in safety science.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a EHS role, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Dutch labor laws, and machine directives.
- Familiar with ISO14001, ISO45001 management systems.
- Internal auditing qualifications, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
- Computer literate – MS applications.
- Above average interpersonal, organizational and communications skillset – written and oral to deal with everyone internally and externally (including customers).
- Risk assessment training required
- Incident investigation training required
