Software Development Snr Manager
We are seeking a Software Development Senior Manager to manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for managing IoT devices and their communication to the cloud. As a senior manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture, and development to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications, identity and access management (IAM) and authorization framework according to provided design specifications. You will be responsible for managing a team that builds enhancements within an existing software architecture and to help envision future improvements to the architecture. As a senior manager you will assist in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve tactical and strategic objectives across the team. This position will regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure project objectives are met. Some of the key requirements are demonstrated leadership, people management skills, strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development.
Job Requirements / Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related field is required. Graduate degree (Master`s) preferred. Minimum of 12 years of related experience is required.
- 5+ years of people management experience in building and leading successful engineering teams is required.
- Engineering leadership and technical expertise in Linux based platform development.
- Detailed knowledge of and experience leading teams through cloud native architecture, network architecture and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP), as well as secure by design modern security principles.
- Experience in Linux networking and bring new products to market.
- Experience with Linux Routing protocols
- Experience with WIFI and Mesh standards and open-source integrations
- Experience with Linux firewall and NAT capabilities
- Experience with web security principles and mitigation for common vulnerabilities while building and deploying best in class Cloud products (SaaS Public Cloud deployments).
- Detailed knowledge and experience with test automation tools such as Selenium and Qtest Manager.
- Demonstrated strength with operating systems, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
