Technical Support Analyst - Core Finance
About the Team
On the support team, it`s all about maintaining service to the business and relishing the challenges that each day brings. The systems we support are essential to the daily operations of the business and our ability to resolve issues quickly and develop innovative solutions to problems is what we are all about.
About the Role
In this role, you will be managing incidents and tasks to resolution and providing technical analysis of our systems to resolve user queries.
We have numerous applications, so you’ll need to be someone who is comfortable learning about the technologies upon which our applications are built, as well as how they interact with other areas of the business, in order to diagnose and fix problems.
Our relationship with our customers is vital and developing business knowledge in order to support the use of our internally developed applications and 3rd party solutions, as well as forging and maintaining strong relationships with business stakeholders, is paramount.
You’ll also need to demonstrate a knowledge of how and why our customers use our applications, in order to effectively support them.
Criteria
Essential
- Experience of working in a technical service delivery or application support role that demonstrates an ability to manage incidents proactively and troubleshoot technical issues autonomously.
- A passion for customer service.
- A strong communicator, both written and verbal.
- An ability to demonstrate a logical and analytical approach to problem solving.
- A strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- An ability to work accurately and demonstrate a keen eye for attention to detail.
- Experience of using SQL, including writing queries to analyse large and complex datasets and troubleshoot issues.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Service Management tools and processes, in particular ServiceNow.
- Knowledge and experience of Next’s systems
- Familiarity with Mainframe systems.
- Experience in a Finance role with knowledge of key financial processes.
