As a Cycle Counter at the Ridge Tool Company world headquarters in Elyria Ohio, you’ll be part of a team that delivers innovative world class tools and products to the professional tradespersons. You will maintain inventory integrity for manufacturing plant, complete cycle counts, conduct aisle audits, execute inventory transactions, reconcile inventory, and communicate constantly with a variety of departments to help ensure a consistent flow of material through the plant.

About our location:
Since the invention of the modern pipe wrench in 1923, the 25-acre RIDGID world headquarters in Elyria, OH has been developing tools that help trades professionals tackle jobs faster, safer, and more accurately. Today, more than 600 employees work in 734K square feet of office and manufacturing space. The campus is also home to a factory tool service center and an innovative “schoolhouse” training center that educates and trains hundreds of tradespersons annually. In addition to the iconic wrench, the campus manufactures RIDGID battery hydraulic tools, pipe and electrical tools, and drain cleaning components, as well as Greenlee step bits and knock-out tools. Emerson’s Professional Tools business provides the industry’s broadest portfolio of sophisticated, reliable tools and technologies for the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades. In this Role, your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Loads, unloads and moves materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and/or shelves to proper location in various department throughout the plant.
- Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Create, maintain, and audit inventory locations physically as well as in JDE.
- Perform cycle counts and locate missing product.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, including negative on-hand inventory, and report findings.
- Conduct aisle audits, make corrections, and report results.
- Transfer material to and from other locations physically and in JDE.
- Recommend and train on improvements to inventory transfer process.
- Communicate with a variety of departments, internally and externally.
- Call out inventory and quality issues as needed.
- Help prepare, count, and reconcile physical inventory.
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

For this Role, You Will Need:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills including: JDE, MEP (or other enterprise system) MS Office
- Proficient in creating Excel spreadsheets and writing Word documents.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to carry objects; perform dynamic activities including reaching and stretching; and frequent bending and twisting of the torso.
- Ability to pass forklift certification physical, written exam, and driving demonstration.
