If you have an interest in a catering career with Fife Council, why not join one of our many teams of Catering Assistants within West Fife. We currently have a permanent vacancy to join our team of Commercial Caterers at the Glen Pavilion, Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline. This permanent post is 6 hours per week all year round on a Sunday working as required between 9:00am to 4:30pm with the possibility of additional hours when there are functions being held in The Glen Pavilion.
You will earn a competitive salary of £22,525.71 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:
- We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £12.00 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
- Pay is every 4 weeks.

This work is about providing customer service, in a busy café environment. Ensuring visitors to the Glen are catered for accordingly – this involves preparing and serving simple meals, snacks and beverages to clients and recording any payments. All on the job training is given – as well as working towards a Food Hygiene Certificate qualification.
The Person
Cash handling, literacy and numeracy skills are essential along with teamwork and the ability to provide a regular and effective service.
Due to the nature of the role, flexibility is essential. Being able to work in various team dynamics or working on your own and being able to use your initiative is advantageous.
