Job Title: Travel & Expenses Accountant
Location: Head Office, Leicestershire

Are you a qualified accountant with a passion for analysis, process improvement, and collaboration? Next PLC is seeking a motivated and skilled accountant to join our Finance Operations Team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of our travel and expense operations on Concur, manage key financial processes, and play a vital role in driving operational efficiency.
What You’ll Be Doing:In this dynamic role, you will:
- Analyse and Allocate Travel Costs: Oversee employee travel-related expenses of approximately £21 million annually.
- Corporate Credit Card Oversight: Manage and review expenditures totaling £10 million annually.
- VAT Reclaims Management: Handle audits, reviews, and ensure compliance for VAT reclaims.
- Financial Reporting and Forecasting: Deliver monthly balance sheet reconciliations, detailed forecasting, and budgeting.
- Policy Development and Compliance: Develop and maintain a robust Business Travel & Expense Policy, ensuring compliance through tailored training programs.
- Carbon Footprint Analysis: Incorporate travel data into the group’s carbon footprint reporting.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for travel and expense-related queries, providing expert issue resolution and exception reporting to senior management and directors.
- Supplier Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with external suppliers.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team, including one direct report and two outsourced indirect reports.
