Manager, Change & Engagement – CVA Framework
Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Change & Engagement – CVA Framework to join our global team.
Team and Job Purpose
Across the movement, CVA is seen as strategically important and empowering means of assistance. However, there remain some key, unresolved undertones of caution - specifically around the level of risk CVA represents to the organisation - that are leading to significant dissonance about the `direction of travel`. The delivery of cash transfer programming, by its very nature, is both technical and complex, often done in high-risk and humanitarian contexts. However, the organization’s approach to managing risks in these programmes is not adequately defined or nuanced. Additionally, existing processes are not adapted sufficiently to help identify and mitigate the actual risks leading to a mismatch with the applied controls. This is often observed in significant delays in the sourcing and contracting of CVA financial service providers, repeated fraud incidents and complaints from beneficiaries. The new CVA Framework is being developed to ensure Save the Children can deliver on its ambition to deliver CVA efficiently and effectively. The CVA Framework includes the Operations Procedure, a toolkit including a library of tools and guidance and a more detailed view of processes and methodologies for reference for Country Office teams setting up new awards.
The Change and Engagement Manager sits within the Project and Change Management Team that is part of the Transformation Delivery Department within Save the Children International. This team is responsible for managing the change management activities and deployment of projects into 60 offices and 29 Member organisations. We support different types of Transformation Projects and Programmes relating to Business Process, Organisation and System changes.
This role will be focused on supporting change and engagement activities for the deployment across SCI Global and Country Office of the CVA Framework. They will be responsible for understanding the change and engagement needs based on the changes defined and the associated impact of these changes. The role holder will be required to define and plan the required interventions, develop the associated content and lead the delivery of the interventions in partnership with the relevant function and local teams to ensure effective embedding of the changes. The role holder will also need to engage across the wider Project and Change Team to share best practice and take on board guidance and lessons learned based on experience from other projects.
